Decided to do a splash page of my 40k imperial guard regiment, they have changed a bit as I have been writing more and more on them. In the last couple of weeks, my hands have been bothering me more then normal so in short; its been difficult for me to get art done along with helping my grandmother around the house, her mind is starting to slip a bit.
Mironian Iron Hussar regiment makes heavy use of sentinels and also variations of the sentinel pattern; They are organized like cavalry formations of ancient Terra, but instead of using horses or xeno-beasts they use the Sentinel as their steed. They stride along in ornately crafted sentinels which have elaborate carvings of various heraldry and lords/ladies of their Home sector. Other guardsmen see Mironian sentinels as signifiers of nobility, others view them as crusaders of the God-Emperor; As many believe the Emperor guides their eyes with divine power to bring precision wroth upon his foes. As all mironian guardsmen are skilled sharpshooters also adept at guerilla warfare, this is due to the spanning maze like labyrinth of tunnel network that go deep into their home sector worlds. These are used when they are under invasion, as all of the mironian citizens are sent into the tunnel forts where the mironian guard launch hit-and-run attacks upon their invaders. All major kingdoms have these connections to the tunnel network but are cunningly hidden in plain sight, which make their enemies believe them to be ghosts or wraiths how they can appear so suddenly and then leave.
The Mironians don't use standard imperial war machines especially those that use treads or wheels; this is due to the harsh climate of their world as the treads would freeze over and the wheels would get stuck in the snow. So all of their vehicles are classified as walkers, they have several STC templates of previously unknown imperial walkers that their Forgeworld Olmstien produces in mass for the mironians. One example is the "Ironclad" Sentinel pattern which is a far heavier version of the Sentinel which can fit Leman Russ weaponry on its chassis; as such the Ironclad is the MBT of the Mironian Iron Hussars they have more armour then a standard sentinel but nowhere near as true Leman Russ as such they are more fragile but this gives extra speed. This Ironclad has been used to create new vehicles for the regiment such as fitting Basilisk Artillery guns, Hydra Anti-Air batteries, Inferno cannons, etc.
I am not going to create an even bigger wall of text as my hands hurt too much, but I will finish the commissions will just take me a tad longer.
