Yeah, I know, wtf title, right?
Well I'm posting this up because this was the original idea that I had for the icons. But when I sized them, they became super small and the dots looked more... I dunno, like a fuck up? In a large size, looking at them it's not so distracting since you have the rest of the stuff to look at. But when the details of the characters are mashed up and the shading doesn't matter- the dots look more like a blur and a waste of space. That and I couldn't figure out how to animate in Clip so I trashed the idea of the names flashing completely. They look faded because of some light table effect that I had no idea how to reverse after I got into it- and really didn't feel like re-writing it. Sizing it and moving it and whatever...
So this is pretty much the trashed version of the icons! =D! I'm giving up on Clip studio paint and going back to SAI... Less of a headache, I really don't get the program and I'm just going to use it for my Manga pages and/or if ever I want to make some panel borders and effects for comics in the future >3! Paired with my coloring and understanding of SAI, it could be fun to see what scenes really stick to me with my characters that I can turn into colored comic pages in the future.
Or when I feel lazy and just want to do quick scenes, I can always do manga pages. I know I want to turn a steady storyline into webcomic series. But that can always be way later on in the future.
Anyways, so my opinion on Clip: "I don't like the coloring... But the line art options are nice. The effects are nice and some of the features are better than SAI, but generally, when it comes to doing ART PIECES, SAI has everything you need, but when you're doing comics or quick work, like perfect circles and straight lines, then you'd want to head on over to Clip, and that has everything that you need for that and getting that done in a quick and efficient way. I love both programs and will be using the both of them in the future. But I prefer the work I can do with my coloring and stuff in SAI. I encourage every serious artist to try both out and see which one suits them best, even though Clip does cost something and I did buy my copy, I'm sure if you're daring and cheap like me, you'll try and dig up a free copy and I'm sure you can find one.
But I'm not going to help you, figure it out yourself.
But I bought mine this time around because I'm serious about this shit. XD! I should probably buy SAI at some point just to support further development and help the company, and also not get in trouble for not doing it...And well, pros versus cons, good karma in mind and simply all working as equals. SAI is a kickass program, and I'm grateful they made it. So when I can I'll buy it!
Right now I'll just borrow it >3>;
Without permission.
Shut up, I know most of you are doing it too. >3
