It depends on the breed, and even on the individual animal. I've seen both dogs and cats that almost never shed, and others that shed so much you could make a small rug in a couple of days.

maybe there are wigs that don't itch so much.
But aside from that, I'm sure Benji wouldn't want to wear a wig either :p

The funniest part is that if he were a poodle, it probably wouldn't be as bad, although he'd have to comb a lot more.

They only have a single coat, and the fur doesn't exactly fall off when they shed, but gets tangled in with the other fur.

Actually poodles usually have hair like a human not fur. It may not be true for all breeds of poodle, but at least the ones I've had only needed to have it cut and groomed.

I love the thought you put into world building. Things like shedding hair, having a vacuum for cleaning it up and so on. Speaking of shedding, do Kai and Kaya shed their skin like snakes and other 'conventional' reptiles?

Thanks ^^ Nope, no scale or skin shedding for Kai and Kaya. Scales do regrow like skin though, so the rare scratches or cuts (their scales are pretty hard) they do get actually heal up. The great combination of human and dragon genes xD

I mean that shedding sounds like my IRL doggo Lola. Legit so bad there is hair everywhere she goes. We get like plastic bags full of the stuff when we try to groom her lmao.
