There is a synopsis on their patreon page but, to be brief, it's a horror narrative following an individual who returns to a place of unfinished business. As much as it plays the eerie factor, the story garners a neat coming-of-age with different minds conflicting [and assumably reach resolutions] over a significant moment that brought to light each members' unrefined method of dealing with issues, inviting disagreement of values and perspectives.
Other than the subject of uncovering the mystery set to play the moment you begin the VN, the story's setting is also intriguing in which the protagonist returns to home after years away and realizing growth of character does not happen just by change of geographic location like most typical heroic stories. Coming home to confront old skeletons and having not cultivated a mentality to deal with them resonated with the youthful generation prone to anxiety-inducing situations common in reality. It's just being told in a form of a furry VN.
