This is my former dog, Leah. She was my first memory ever.
My first memory was when my mom drove me to a person's house who was having Lhasa Apso puppies and we bought her. She was shaking and missing her mom for the longest time, but every single day since we bought her, I was by her side, petting her, and telling her that everything would be ok and she'd learn to love me and my entire family. For the first two weeks, she was very depressed, but eventually she would come when I called her. She would hop into bed and sleep with me every night. When she had a stomach problem, my father paid to have her opperated on.
Well... when I was 18 and she was 14 (in human years) she started having bladder problems where she couldn't hold it in time to get outside. My father made the F*CKING decision to give her away to complete strangers who would make an outdoors dog of her. She probably died a lonely and depressed death...
I've shed more tears for that dog than for all the times I've ever cried for myself, or anyone for that matter.
I took this picture one day while using the computer at my father's house. This pic was taken just before I came out to my father and got kicked out because of it. I looked into her eyes and it felt as though she was telling me "Take a picture of me... for I know I'll be leaving you soon and I want you to always remember me".
If all dogs go to heaven... then I want to see her when I finally go there myself...

Im very sorry to hear about this.
I myself had with my family had a family cat named Polo.
He was a simiese type, He was however bitten by a snake. And well in my case it was game over.
But, he came home when I was away, and my dad noticed him lying on the small carpet as he always did. But he never moved again.
He came home to die.

Sorry to hear about it... Similar things happened to my two kittens, brothers. One was with us for about a year before we realized it kept peeing everywhere. (We weren't sure who it was.) We gave that one to a shelter... then its brother got kidney problems and we had to put it to sleep. Luckily, my cat and at times only friend is still alive, although blind, but is nearing the end of his life.
