So apparently we had a power out sometime within the last week.
I know this because my microwave which used to read a blank time now reads 'PW'.

What I DIDN'T notice, however, was that my scanner was still on. Which is odd as my scanner never resets after a power out. I have to do it myself.

So I go to scan in pics for a meme I recently did (Thanks Ty! Never wouldda known it was there!) and the damned thing tells me the scan could not be completed.
Trouleshoot
unplug all wires
plug back in
check for damage
restart scanner
restart computer
still broken
