Figured that FA's latest meltdown might as well be the end of my brief hiatus. Here's a comic about The Emigrants, a Swedish novel about the Scandinavian emigration to the U.S in the late 1800's that none of you have ever read or ever will.

Reminds me of "Sænsk vandamalaleikrit" - Icelandic TV used to have such a steady supply of swedish movies about depressing people and their terrible problems, that it became a named genre.

Swedish media is either dreary detective or historical fiction, embarassingly stilted attempts at comedy, or dark social satire.

Explains why you guys are apparently the hugest fans of British murder mysteries like Midsomer Murders.

But in turn we also been getting Wallander, I think we have a lot in common for our terrible sense of ennui but cope in different ways.
