OLD
This is the new little spark in our lives. We got her on the 4th of July. A women came into the store where my mate works with this little kitten. She had just lost her home and was homeless, and wanted to know if the person on duty knew of anyone who could take care of the little thing since she couldn't care for her anymore. We got a phone call by Felisha at 11:30am with this interesting request. So... if anyone knows me, Im a sucker for the 'rescue critters' and went on down to the store and picked her up. Her name is Shinobu, which means 'to endure' in Japanese. And no, we didn't name her, she came with the name, which is kind of eerie and fate like... She's also got some wildcat in her of some kind. Yes she mostly looks like a regular little gray tabby, but its a really bad picture (taken on my mates camera phone). What you cant see are the ear tufts on her ears, nor how stocky she's built. Even for a kitten she's built like a rock. You can KINDA see how short and muscular her legs are in the picture, but its hard to see. She's also FAST. Ive never had a cat move as fast as she does with pouncing and attacking. She also does the classic kill pounce that most domestic cats don't know, similar to a bobcat. She also makes a barking hiss that bobcats and other small wildcats make in warning. (That confused the hell out of my other two cats, let me tell you) Were not sure if were going to be able to keep her though. She's a doll, and very personable. But our apartment is small, and we already have two cats. Were also trying to find a new apartment, and thats hard enough with the two cats we have. To be honest, with her instincts, and how fast she is, she would make an AWESOME barn cat or farm cat... But we don't know anyone in the area that owns a farm. So... we will see. Ill try and get a better picture of her to show you what I mean about the ear tufts and stuff.
