Because supervillains like to be bombastic and huge they appear during the day, and criminals such as thugs, crime bosses, and rogue's gallery guys appear at night. Which is right up Drake's alley since he has no powers. But despite the fact he doesn't have superpowers, he makes up for it using a myriad of weapons and tools (similar to Monta). He mainly uses his staff and his taser gloves to fight. His outfit's just his tracksuit and his old hockey mask (There's a reason he hates the sport). He's not made of money, Drake's still a freelance artist after all.
