So, I was asked to create a world in writing. I went a bit OTT, and have to submit it as a word document, I thought why not share it. I may write stories based on this world in future.
Also, this that I made in paint may be of use too: http://i68.tinypic.com/2i27fxs.png

Tutus (1)
Global Location (1.1)
Located in the southern ocean, Tutus borders Silvestre to the north. It is shaped triangular with a point at the bottom of the landmass.
Regions (1.2)
Furry Kingdom
A heavily urbanised region, with hills and plains, also containing forests and wildlife. Many villages and towns cover the landscape, with numerous cities in the region, the settlings sparse out nearer the borders. The region is located as the southernmost region of the continent and landmass. A thin layer of smog covers the cities, which are familiar to modern day earth cities. The capital city containing the monarchy who are just heads of state, rather than heads of country is located at the point of the southern coast. The furry government is located here. It contains many iconic buildings.
The region contains many highways, trains, airports and is roughly the size of modern day france. The population of the furry kingdom is roughly 40 million. It has a large military but is mostly non-hostile to other regions. There are a mix of mountains, cliffs and beach surrounding the area. The climate is closely akin to that of modern day Australia. Currency is a motivating factor for the furries, and only a handful is religious. There is an elected government, and the head of state employs a strategy group to commune with other sentient life who hold a position of power on the planet, namely the dragons, scalies and artificial intelligence. This group and the head of state are a few of a small handful aware of the presence of artificial intelligence.
Scaly Dynasty
An oriental, heavily wooded region with many large valleys and hills. Located along the north eastern border of the furry kingdoms. There is often a considerable amount of rain which promotes the heavily agricultural society. The scaly dynasty contains no single unifying government. Instead clans of different scaly groups with their own territories. They and very militant and hostile between eachother. However, they are tolerant of furries and vice versa. Technologically, they are a few centuaries behind the furries. This is due to an arrogance and refusal to accept aid. While half the size of the furry kingdom the population is less than 1 million. The inhabitants live in towns, with few cities having been established. The main form of transport is horseback.
Opibus
Run by the poor rebels of the furries and scalies, the small insurgent communities here are highly hostile. A narrow strip along the border of the furry kingdom and Silvestre continent, they are heavily militant towards all. They have low technological advancement, not even possessing electricity, and live in groups with no government or leadership. They are the people, uncontrolled by the man. The land is a very poor plain, bordering a desert, where it rarely rains.
Rogue’s Harbour
A small region to the north west of the furry kingdom. It is a zone of heavy mountainous areas, bordering the sea. It is highly militaristic, and secretive. The furry kingdom controls this region for laboratories and weapon tests, and is off limits to those that do not work here. There are onsite facilities in all of the laboratories, to ensure information does not escape.
Species (1.3)
Containing the same species as may be found on earth, the indigenous ferals who inhabit this continent, and mostly non-hostile, and highly tolerant of the more advanced civilisations.
Silvestre (2)
Global Location (2.1)
Located as the central continent of the landmass connecting Silvestre, Tutus, Arcanus and Nebula. It is the second largest continent aside from Domum. It has coasts to the east, west and north. It borders to the south, Tutus, to the north east Nebula, and to the north west Arcanus, with a strip of shore to the north between the neighbouring continents. The east and west coasts are rounded inwards. The size of modern day USA.
Regions (2.2)
Desert
A vast lifeless desert scaling an expanse between the plains and Tutus. The centre is covered in sand-dunes, while the outer edges merge slowly into the surroundings as a flat mass. Very few water holes exist.
Plains
A flat grassy plain which turns into hilly grassland north of the desert. A very green area, with a nice cool breeze, and a distant view to the mountains. It connects all the way to Nebula’s border. Trees dot around the plains in odd places. The plains are cut only by rivers and streams from the mountains.
Forest
Surrounds the south, east and west side of the mountains, covering a large hilly expanse at the base of the mountains. It borders Arcanus, and contains all sort of spruce, yew and oak trees. There are burrows and caves in the forest. The north of the forest on the north side of the mountains has a large sheer cliff leading to the sea. Contains several large rivers.
Mountains
A large mountain chain, snowy, is located in the central northern side of Silvestre close to the sea. It has a steep side to the north, running through the forest into the sea. It has plateaus and stages, some covered by forest, some dry and only the highest points are filled with snow and ice. The weather is deadly in places. As a result of the mountains, the border to Arcanus is extremely high altitude, despite being in a cloud forest.
Coasts
Lining the east and west sides of the continent, between borders, the most beautiful coasts on the planet are here, miles long and vast in most places.
Species (2.3)
Heavily populated with wild earth-like feral animals in their natural habitats.
Civilisations (2.4)
There are several tribes of under-evolved furries, who are more feral than their civilised counterparts. They are aggressive to outsiders, have no technology and live off the land. Their grasp of language is lacking also. These are mostly in the forest, although some are on the shores.
There is a small explorer’s camp filled with hunters, in a small village community at the top of the cliff leading to Arcanus. They are knowledgable and come from the furry and scaly areas of Tutus, but they also live off the land. They are friendly, and most impressed by feats of strength or skill. They have various trophies from Arcanus.
On the Nebula border, occasionally some of the civilisations from the mainland enter into Silvestre. They are advanced, and non hostile. There are several different societies which are close to this border.
Arcanus (3)
Global Location (3.1)
Located attached to a wide part of the north west of Silvestre, separated by the great valley. Has coast surrounding the rest of the continent. The continent is as large as Tutus with a rounded cape at it’s point.
Regions (3.2)
The Great Valley
Off a great cliff from the forest and mountains of Silvestre. The drop is sheer and kilometres deep, with dangerous small channels leading down the cliff. Mists cover the bottom of the cliff, where the lost swamp lies.
The Lost Swamp
A large vast and heavily wooded swamp, littered with dangerous reptiles and plants. Quick sand covers a large amount of the swamp. Skeletons coat the floor, adventurers that fell. The trees cover the sky, making sunlight levels low, with a few small rays of light. Mist also reduces visibility. Surrounded by the rainforest.
Rainforest
Large rainforest with rivers. Trees are more dense, but no mist and more sunlight. Contains dinosaurs, which are fast and good at camouflage. Insects inhabit this forest too, including large insects. Large forest that is located centrally in the continent. In the middle of the forest is Pandora’s Box.
Pandora’s Box
A vast ancient city temple, cut into a clearing of the rainforest. The surrounding area outside the stone walls is littered with tribal huts. A tribe of scalies who are hostile to everyone believes the temple contains their god, who if witnessed by anyone, would bring about the destruction of the world. They are forbidden from entering the temple. Being highly primitive, and highly religious, they are hostile, and cannot be reasoned with. Inside the mossy tall stone walls contains the abandoned city, which contains a mix of Egyptian and Mayan similar architecture, and wall paintings. In the centre is a large stoney pyramid, with a temple ontop, leading to a vast labyrinth and dungeon, with treasures located deep within, and many traps.
Dusty Plains
A sparce dusty plain, akin to a grassy desert, with very little water. Large dinosaurs roam this dusty plain. It is hot and dry, bordering the rainforest gradually. It borders the sea on the south and northern sides. To the north western side are hills leading to a volcanic area.
Flaming Gorge
A relatively small area bordering the dusty plains and ending in a shore. It is a very volcanic area, with gorges and valleys carved into the volcanos. It is dusty, contains springs and high altitude. There is a steep hill on the far sides leading to the shore. Contains dinosaurs.
The Beach
Clearly blue sea surrounds the coast, with large beaches. The sea is covered with reefs. Strong currents make it hard to reach the coast from the outside. Has dinosaurs on the beach and in the sea.
Civilisations (3.3)
In addition to tribes, there is an isolated by advanced city of evolved anthro dinosaurs, much like modern day cities. There are no connections to the outside world, and it is fully self sufficient. This city is found on the border of the rainforest and the southern beach. The inhabitants are friendly to newcomers, and contain no military, but teams to deter dangerous dinosaurs. There is a yearly election for the mayor of the town, who has complete control over the city. This city has 700,000 anthros inhabiting it.
Nebulus (4)
Global Location (4.1)
Nebulus is located on the north east border of Silvestre. The continent is mostly spanning a series of islands and ‘shattered’ landmasses.
Regions (4.2)
The Shattered Shore
A large beach with small plains, and various aquatic trees, such as mangroves. It is a sandy desert turned beach. There are a few towns of anthro avian species, with primitive architecture in their towns. However the civilisations are intelligent. Most of these towns contain trees. Various natural harbours litter the shore.
The Shattered Islands
Large islands not too distant from the shore, scattered. The further from the shore, the more sparce and smaller island appear. There are a few islands with avian cities, except these are more advanced. These islands have various biomes, such as forest, plains and deserts.
The Stepping Stones
Small islands distant from the shore, and large islands, with a few having a distant view to Domum. These are often akin to deserted islands, and some have avianic towns.
The Sunken World
A series of underwater domes located between the reefs and islands, scattered all across the watermass, but not far from the islands. They are home to the great aquatic anthro civilisation. The domes are watertight, with their own oxygens generators. The technology is futuristic.
Species (4.3)
Populated by aquatic feral and anthros. Aquatic dinosaurs can sometimes be found here as can sea serpents and aquatic dragons. Sharks and Whales are frequent here.
Civilisations (4.4)
There are two main sentient and highly developed civilisations here. The avianic civilisation called the ‘Flyers’, are religious and spiritualistic. They believe in a sky god. Their buildings in towns are primitive, whereas their cities are fully natural fuelled, and almost as technologically advanced as the furries. They are highly intelligent and peaceful. Their main method of transport is flying, although they will take guests with them, for a fee. They use aquatic materials gathered by the aquatic civilisation for their temples. These two civilisations are symbiotic. The Flyers are led by a prophet. The whole civilisation is united.
The other civilisation, the aquatic ‘Swimmers’ are very technologically advanced, and also diplomatic. They are however slightly less intelligent than the Flyers, and use materials found above water in a symbiotic relationship to help with their oxygen generators. They use swimming and vehicles as their primary transport. They are lead by a council who are internally elected. In opposition to the Flyers, the Swimmers believe in an abyssal dwelling god. They can also commune with feral aquatic creatures.
Domum (5)
Global Location (5.1)
Domum is located far north east of the major landmass of Silvestre, Nebula, Arcanus and Tutus. It is located far north, of the ocean separating the Nebula and Tenebris. The continent is an island, high altitude and huge. The north pole is located in the northern region of the continent. The size of the continent is roughly that of modern day Europe. Home to 7 million dragons
Regions (5.2)
Crown of Thorns
A large tall and thick wall of pointed and jagged rocks loom massive and taller than the eye can see. It covers the outside of the whole continent. Underneath is a small thin sandy shore leading into the rockface. The only way aside from flying is to climb to enter the continent.
The Wild South
A vast stretch of small forests, hilly plains, rivers, steep valleys and numerous cliff caves. High in the sky is a portal. No-one knows where it leads, all that is known is that it is crucial to the history of the dragons. It is guarded by an elite flight of dragons. Located in the south of the continent, and part of it in the shadow of the centrally located city of Draconis, the wild south is home to wild, hostile and solitary feral dragons. Those dragons who are outcasts.
The Eastern Lands
Contains a flight of Chinese dragons, who are at war with the western and northern flights, many hills and mountains and very oriental forests and landscapes, with it’s own ecosystem. Has numerous small towns and villages, with a capital city, which is of an old and oriental design.
The Western Plains
Contains a flight of Western Dragons, who predominantly are peaceful, but come under frequent attacks from the elements. Mostly golden plains, flat, with miniature mountains, and sparce trees. There is savannah, and large lakes. The western dragons have large castle cities. These are not very advanced.
The Northern Fortress
Lakes, volcanos, glaciers, mountains and forests litter this land. It is as if the planet has taken offence to its inhabitants and has decided to wage war from this place. It contains the highly aggressive elemental dragons. The north pole is located here in a glacier. There are no towns or cities here, just elemental dragon group dwellings.
Draconis
The massive dragon capital city. Over 100km wide, upside down cone shaped, and floating. Reaching the top of the sky, and taking energy directly from the planet core. Sections can be seen in slow rotation. The dragon society hierarchy is displayed by this city. The more powerful at the top. The top layer is home to a powerful monarchy. Over 5 million dragons call this city home, and there was wide channels inside and a large open area at the centre for transport. There are teleportation chambers for residents, and turbo elevators for guests. Anthro dragons also dwell in the inner rings. All rivers on the continent flow down to the channels under the city, leading to the core, but collected for use by the city.
Species (5.3)
Populated by various mythical and feral animals, in their natural biomes. They are prey but also have an ecosystem.
Civilisations (5.4)
Wild Southerners
They are a savage and wild group of dragons, and outcasts from the city. There are no civilisations here, but the dragons are intelligent, but more wild here. They are territorial and solitary.
The Elite Guard
The largest dragons, armoured and highly intelligent. They are patient, and stand by their roles of protecting the Draconis city and the portal. They are firm and don’t take non-sense. Don’t mess with these, and they won’t mess with you. Part of the Draconis civilisation.
The Eastern Dragonflight
An oriental Chinese dragon civilisation. They live in oriental style villages and towns, and 1 city. These are not advanced. The civilisation however is advanced in magic, not technology. They fly as their transport, and they have an emperor in the city, in charge of the land. They are at war with the elements and the western dragons. They are semi aggressive. Their culture is more advanced than their cities. Most of them do not speak, with only a handful doing so.
The Western Dragonflight
A peaceful civilisation of more traditional western dragons. They use physical strength and flamebreath to defend against the elements and eastern dragonflight. They leader, who has no title, is strategic genius, who rarely attacks. They are as a result, a friendly civilisation. They have castles as their homes. They fly as their transportation and follow their leader because of their unspecified history. They are however more technologically advanced than the eastern dragonflight.
The Elemental Dragons
Lead by a council of the kings and queen of all dragons. There are the fire dragons and ember dragons from the volcanic reaches, lead by a king ember dragon. The ice and water dragons are lead by a queen ice dragon, and dwell within the glaciers. The sky dragons are lead by a king wyvern, and followed by sky dragons and wyverns. These dwell near the forests, and rarely land. Finally, the earth dragons are living underground, and in the forests with nature dragons, lead by a metallic earth dragon king, the largest of all. These dragons have no cities or towns. They dwell naturally in their habitats, and follow the will of their kings and queen. The interaction between the elements are in the council. They are a warring and aggressive group of dragons. They wage war with everyone, although they are not strong enough to challenge the great city of Draconis.
Draconians
The inhabitants of the great city of Draconis are among the most intelligent and technologically advanced beings on the planet. Everything is futuristic, even upto their genetically engineered evolution. They have the ability to transform between anthro and feral at will. They are wary of strangers, but often too busy to notice. The majority of the inhabitants live their life entirely in the city, and do not worry themselves with external struggles. They have strict discipline and punishments for those who commit crimes, and as such, crime rarely happens. There is no currency. Everyone works to benefit the city and it’s inhabitants. They strive to further themselves and cement their place as the dominant civilisation of the planet. Lead by a monarchy, who then elects a government, they have a lot of power, as they could grind the city to a halt, if they do not agree with the way things are run. The monarchy encourages their subjects to voice their opinions, to prevent any events such as this.
Tenebris (6)
Global Location (6.1)
Located in the centre of the great ocean, south east of Domum, and equal distance from the east and west coasts of the main landmass. Strangely, Tenebris contains no natural land, and is instead an island continent completely filled with junk. The currents of the great ocean swirl around a city, and so all the junk from other civilisations have formed a makeshift landmass around the city. This creates Tenebris, which floats on it’s own on the surface, and contains mounds of junk and technology.
Regions (6.2)
Swirling Mess
A vast floating maze of junk strewn across the sea surrounding the continent, forming and growing the continent each day. The water currents are very strong. The islands of junk become larger closer to the mainland of Tenebris. It is difficult to navigate, and even more difficult to escape.
The Jungle
Not an actual jungle, but a nickname that stuck, the Jungle has towering heaps and mounds or junk that make a steep and difficult entry onto the continent, and a difficult terrain to traverse. This surrounds the entire continent as its outer layer. Autonomous and non-sentient machines patrol and raid the surrounding caves and tunnels. There is a small band of scavenger furries stranded in the jungle. There are vast catacombs below the ground, but dig too deep, you will find the radioactive sea underneath.
The Catacombs
Located deep below the continent, accessed from the jungle. Various dangerous extra terrestials have conquered these tunnels, making it one of the most dangerous places on the planet. There are also autonomous robots, and traps. However, it is said that some of the best technological treasure lies in these catacombs.
The Great City of Legends
Legends speak of this ancient vast city and the technology of the civilisation that inhabited this city, who were millennia ahead of their time. Thought to be lost to the sea, this city is now colonised and inhabited by artificially intelligent and sentient machines, who have incorporated their own technology created from the junk to enhance the city. It is now the most advanced city on the planet, with strictly one rule, no biological lifeforms allowed.
Civilisations & Species (6.3)
No naturally occurring species lives or can survive here, except ‘The Makers’. Extra terrestrials and robots are the only inhabitants.
The civilisation inhabiting the great city is the most technologically advanced civilisation on the planet. However for resources, they have in their intelligence, decided to not open hostilities with other civilisations, due to their reliance on the junk. They have a space program, and live as a collective. They do not have a hierarchy, or currency, as these are meaningless to them. They are individuals, but work and live for the collective. They are highly sophisticated, and have created teleportation. They are very recluse and secretive, and trespassers will be often be denied entry to the city, and if perceived a threat, swiftly eliminated. The dragons of the city Draconis are the only civilisation rivalling the machines. However, they still obey the rules set by the machines. The machines have the capacity of being always in constant communication with one another, but this is a choice. They have invented emotions too, which can be switched off.
The Makers are a civilisation who are biological, and live in the deepest recesses of the Great City. They are co-habitants with the machines, and the original civilisation who built the city. There are only 25 of them remaining and one day they will die out. They see the robots as their successors. They are highly intelligent, and care deeply for the artificial intelligence. The robots answer only to the Makers, due to the care that the Makers have shown them. The Makers are aware of all of the other civilisations on the planet, however, only the robots know of the Makers continued existence. To everyone else, they are stuff of legend. They however cannot reproduce, despite their long life. When their city was flooded, it destroyed all of their eggs, and none have been laid since. It is rumoured that Pandora’s box may contain the last remaining egg. They have the appearance of ancient Egyptian Anubises.
Other (7)
The World Council (7.1)
The world council is a group of civilisation representatives that meet up regularly and discuss global issues and threats. Despite open hostilities, this council is for the world as a whole, as opposed to individual nations. There are selfish interests involved sometimes. This is highly secretive and confidential to the representatives, heads of governments and heads of state. The elemental dragons are the only state that are banned from the council. The members are:
- The Furries
- The Scaly Dynasty
- The Anthro Dinosaurs
- The Flyers
- The Swimmers
- Draconis
- Western Dragons
- Eastern Dragons
- Artificial Intelligence
These meetings are always held in Draconis, the dragon capital, with special envoys sent to those who struggle to make it there alone.
The South Pole (6.2)
The south pole is a small island, hard to locate, at the bottom of the world. Many search, but none have ever found it. The only thing of significance here is a portal, fragmented from the dragon portal, close to the north pole. It is a time travelling portal. However, it must be entered by someone with a temporal enhancer, otherwise it will not work. If entered with the temporal enhancer, any time can be visited. Upon visiting, a new timeline is created. Nothing that happens in the new time line affects the old timeline, which can be returned to by resetting the temporal enhancer.
The Great Ocean (6.3)
The singular ocean spanning the entire planet, surrounding all landmasses. The weather patterns converge on the south pole, while the current converge on Tenebris. It contains a mass of living creatures, and is very deep.
Moons, Days, Years (6.4)
There are three moons, Potestatem is very bright, and big. It is red, and cases a hue in the sky. It orbits fast, a full cycle being only a week. The second called, Sapientiae, is deep blue, a water moon. It is small, and orbits in 28 days. It is dwarfed by Potestatem. The third called, Fortitudo orbits once every 164 days, and is just smaller than Potestatem. It is bright gold when the sun shines on it. It is very rare to see all 3 moons in the sky at one time, but when it happens, a very rare eclipse occurs where Fortitudo goes infront of Potestatem, blocking it out. The sky turns bright gold and blue when this happens. This is considered good luck to all inhabitants of the planet.
A typical day is 32 hours, allowing a normal working day, with those 8 extra hours of leisure time for the furries. A year is only 105 days. There are no months or weeks, just days of a season.
Some names are in latin, they are easter eggs
