This character is actually a cloned Engineer, of which there are thousands aboard this starship. They are each exactly alike, and are equipped with fins to better navigate the liquid that surrounds the Main Power Core and Drive Link. They are asexual, and keep in constant communication with the ship itself, and all the other Fishgole, by a wireless system. Talking to one Fishgole is like talking to any of the others, since they all know exactly what any of the others know. These creatures have no need for food, and are in fact bio-electrical. They can recharge themselves directly from the electrical power grid of the ship.
Each Fishgole typicaly has under it several utility bots and droids, in addition to other bio-electrical creatures such as itself.
Although highly intelligent in the matters of Starship operation and maintainance, they otherwise have the intelligence of a small child.
A fun game is to corral several behind a simple partition of furniture and watch them puzzle out how to return to duty.
