A drawing done in recognition of Lupus Awareness Month, using the purple butterfly as a symbol. While I don't have lupus, I do suffer from invisible illnesses. I have IBS, endometriosis, and Asperger's syndrome, though I consider Asperger's a quirk in my neurological wiring, rather than an illness. But since I do have these conditions, I know the pain and frustration that comes with a these diseases, especially since I still look perfectly healthy on the outside. Please know that if you have lupus, or any other invisible illness, you're not alone. By spreading awareness, I also try to spread hope for a cure.
