Indeed, a captive taken in raid of conquest. This would explain his embarrassment at being inspected as one inspects an animal before purchase. Perhaps he is embarrassed about his attire as well, considering he was taken from the midst of royalty... Or perhaps he actually likes this new form of attention and attire- and is terribly embarrassed at that...
