detecting a gear jam would mean one of the moving machinery stops. First thing to do is to brute that specific machinery that gear is located by overcharging it on purpose. If that fail or there's not enough energy to spare, that part would need to be disabled as little as possible. From an arm down to the elbow and down to the fingers. Without self-repairing directives, she has to go and get mechanical assistance.
she wouldn't know if she's corrupted since everything would be like normal to her, just that she misses a few things that she doesn't know about. Although she had a list of basic directives and that would check if her current actions are contradicting those, she would immediately turn off and run on basic functions without much security for easy access from outside source hopefully to fix her. The basic directives essentially runs on a separate system inside of her and runs occasionally instead of all the time to prevent corruption but she'll just turn into a computer with a body that cannot move if she's running solely on that.
