The Crusader-Class is an older class of FTL-capable spacecraft that was once the mainstay of many human fleets. It was considered lightly armed even for it's day, with only a single laser turret as it's entire armament. However, while it's offensive capabilities were limited, it's strength were it's four shield generators which used a then-experimental energy shield projector designed so that when hit by a directed energy weapon, a substantial portion of the energy would be directed back into the shield generator, thereby adding supplemental power to it. Alas the Crusader was the only spacecraft to ever use the shield system. There are theories as to why, the most commonly accepted reason was that as energy weapons got more sophisticated, the power that the shield system could siphon-off was becoming less, and less substantial and what was left could still overload the system, and with it's inventor dead, no one else understood the system well enough to refine it to counteract newer weapon systems. Another popular theory is that the system proved too bulky and later classes went back to using more conventional shield systems that were more compact so more space could be turned over to other systems. While the Crusader is no longer in service in conventional space fleets, they are still popular among private owners and local defense groups and as such is still a common sight around space stations and far-flung colonies.

Notes:
Personally one big mistake I made when inking this thing was to draw the lines in pen with the same rushed swipes as I would with a pencil, resulting in all these little gaps between the lines which I would have to go back and clean up just so I can follow where everything was and what needed color. Ultimately making more work for myself. one which I will be more mindful of.
