with a stinky bamboo tablet and photoshop^^ I grab an airbrush to do the base-layering, then define some shadows with a 3px brush, add 2-7 more layers with airbrushes getting smaller in size^^ and I use the smudge-tool to soften transitions. did that help =o.O=?
