I'm still working on a newer and better avatar for my 'fursona'. For those of you who are unable to determine what my latest one looks like (at thumbnail size), here's a larger version of it. Those of you "FA" members born in the 1950s or 1960s will understand the meaning of this art piece...
I was brought up watching lots of old theatrical cartoons on TV, including the works of Max and Dave Fleischer - including 'Betty Boop' and 'Superman'. One of their first creations was 'Koko the Clown', who broke down 'the fourth wall' by interacting with his animator/creator - emerging out of the inkwell and tinkering with objects in the real world.
Inspired by this series of (silent and later sound) short subjects by the Fleischers (not to mention a limited-animation version produced in the early 1960s), I used a combination of line drawings and rubber stamp imagery to place the bobcat in a similar fantasy world. Eat your heart out, Koko!
