This bus, an AEC RT type, was built for London Transport in 1949. It has had the same owner since it was withdrawn from service, in 1973. At the time this photo was taken, it was its first Brighton run since 1974.
The main reason I photographed it was because the placenames on the destination board are familiar to me as I lived near those places as a child.

I live in Davis, CA and our bus line has a few of them in service. :D At least they LOOK like they're the same model, I know they came from London. ^^ I've yet to ride one since I don't use the Davis bus line anymore but it's always cool to see them still up and running around town!
