The night was showing all the stars in the sky. It was actual bright enough to see for a few miles. I walk out of my little hut to gaze at them. I could also smell the Niting apples they were ready to be picked. I was hoping my friend next door to me he would let me have some like the last year. Then all a sudden there was a big boom. I saw a shooting star racing towards earth. It was so bright it lit up the sky with a red glow. I followed the star with my eye. It hit the ground, the earth trembled and I almost lost my balance. I then heard a something it was coming from the east. My left ear turned to the noise. I then look to the east and saw soldiers they were wearing black armor and the carried guns they were made up of tigers, cheetahs, leopards.
They were all marching towards the fallen star there must have been over 10,000 of them all at least 8ft 300bls of muscle and ready to fight. I could smell their musky smell they must have been walking for days. A few of them were bleeding too not much, but enough that I could smell it. My eyes caught the symbol of on the armor. they were part of the Kinton region. I walk back in my hut and grab some stuff bread, cheese, couple apples and put them in a sack. I then hurried off to the west towards the city of Jungton. My uncle Munku live there and he would know what was going on, I hoped?
When I got there I walk up the gate four big tigers were guarding the gate. One of them said "Halt!" I did and said "I am Mingko of the Hunto clan my uncle is Munku he lives here I have to see him." Then one of the guards, the biggest one step forward and said to me "There a toll of 5 gold pieces to enter do have that cub!" I gulped and got my coin purse and pulled 5 gold pieces out of my coin purse and handed it to him he took them. The guard then said "Go on in cub, quickly now!" I ran in and reach my uncle house in less than five minutes.
I then knock on the door. I was praying he was home. He was known to go to his study and read for hours and not get home for days. The door opened and he was there and looked at Me. "Why are you here nephew?" He said to me. "Because there was the Kinton army past my hut and I knew you would know what is going on." I told him. "Come on in now, out of the cold cub quickly." he said. I walk in I saw the fire place was on I walked to it I then saw Neisa she walked down the stairs. She said "What is going on professor?"
She was a beautiful snow leopard a white one which was very rare to see snow leopard in these parts. Where she from was way up north in the region of mountains of Ginitoi. My uncle walked to her, and said "There is nothing wrong please back to your room." She nodded and turns and went up the stair again her tail swing back and forth. She must be a little older than me I was 16yrs. She could be 17 or 18 I thought to myself. When my uncle turned to face me He said "Mingko you have come here at the worst of times this city is going to be invaded in three days by the Chuwtun. The clan is at war with the Kinton clan". I froze, and said "What! Why would they go to war it make no sense." He then said "I know but I have to stay here you must take Neisa she is too young and can't get involved in this stupid war!"
I looked in his eyes and saw he was tell me the truth I nodded and said "yes I will, when do want us to leave?" He said "Now! Right now okay! Get as far away as possible okay Mingko!" I nodded and started to pack thing up for our trip. My uncle went to get Neisa to tell her to pack up too.
