Let me explain. The scar that I am showing, glowing on my right paw is where I have a scar from rescuing my parrot about 14 years ago.

He was let out by mistake by my little brothers and they called up to get help. (This is when they were very young, please don't blame them.)

I picked up Rizz, gently, but he began to panic and hide...so I had to firmly hold him to try and get him back in the cage before he got lost or hurt. So, he whipped around and sunk his beak between my knuckles. I flinched but I knew I had to get him back in the cage to get him to safety.

I don't blame him. But its a memory. I would have given my life for him if it cam to that.

It bled and healed into an egg like scar. I still have it today.

I know its an odd way of remembering your pet, but this is a memory.

I'll remember him forever.

(The darker scar is from an incident with a blade going through my hand and botched operation to get part of the blade out.)
