Well, here's my first successful use of shading for the first time in my entire life, as well as the first time I used a deliberate perspective in a drawing.
This image was inspired by a scene from this dream: http://gmart5.deviantart.com/journa.....2016-603163936
Here's some accompanying text to better describe the scene:
Excerpts from "Lines, Bars, and Animals" (14–15.IV.2016):
"The earliest part of the dream involved me standing in a huge room that seemed like a bar. The bar itself was made of dark brown wood. From the windows in the bar, I could tell that it was dusk. ... The moon, close to the mountainous horizon, was huge in the lilac sky (I’d say it was the size of a stress ball held half an arm’s length away), and it was changing into two different types of crescents. The light was on my left; the part of the moon in shade was purple, while the lit part was a light golden hue. It started off with the curves of the crescent light hitting the moon in an impossible C shape, and it became rather fuzzy and jagged as time moved on. There’s no way this could happen in reality. ... I was completely alone in this bar."
Let me know what you think! ;)
