No, they're not related. No, Burst hasn't changed his opinion on wearing shirts regularly. No, those aren't just props. Yes, you are going to get your ass kicked.

So why is Burst sporting one of those retro-tech gadgets on his wrist too? Simply put, it's something Troy's father built to help him out with his injured electric cuff, in the hopes of eventually marketing it as a corrective medical device.

Burst's constantly had a problem with his damaged cuff sparking and sputtering at inconvenient times, and not only is it painful but it also meant Burst couldn't get near most electronic devices without running the risk of shorting them out. That dampener bracelet is designed to catch those errant discharges and safely dissipate them, or if need be it can also actively draw off any and all electricity the cuff produces for short periods (effectively acting as a temporary "off switch"). The LED gauge shows how much of a load the bracelet is dealing with, and also tends to act as a sort of mood meter since the cuff is prone to misfiring more often when Burst gets angry.

As for why they're dressed the same... I was just wondering how they'd look wearing the same clothes. I like abusing my creative license like that. >:3
