Resuming my presentation for the final "Throwback Thursday" of April, 2016, I have another wildlife 'photo-op' of another avian creature - found on the Pompano Beach pier in south Florida - captured for posterity by my brother Glenn (with his smartphone camera)...
In the past, I'd posted snapshots that Glenn took of lots of birds on the pier - most notably, pelicans (on both the wooden walkway itself and on the handrail, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean). During this outing, a brown pelican decided to 'take five' on the walkway (among the tourists and fishermen), and preen itself. My sibling took several digital photographs of him; this is one of them...
