For the final "Throwback Thursday" of April, 2016, I have a few 'photo-ops' taken (by my brother Glenn with his smartphone) from the pier in Pompano Beach, Florida (which we've visited several times this year)...
Said pier has been a gathering place for humans (tourists and fishermen alike) and animals (mainly fish and birds). Of course, the animals usually congregate whenever the humans are around, to provide food for them. Pelicans and seagulls go for the fish, while other avian creatures (pigeons, grackles, sparrows, etc.) are fed bread crumbs, popcorn, and various forms of junk food.
On this occasion, Glenn saw a pair of pigeons perched upon the handrail, with a lovely view of the beach (where the Atlantic Ocean meets the shore) in the background. He just had to take a picture of it... Wouldn't you?
