i wanted to incorporate the "strongest cub wins" thing but i don't think kids murdering their siblings would work in zootopia (LOL) so i made it in utero instead. a hyena will typically expect 4 cubs and usually 1-2 survive and the others are born as dead runts. it's not a big cultural taboo for yenas because it's always been this way for them

I was thinking more coyote for spy (devious master of deception and all), and some sort of fox for scout ... like fennec or kit-fox. Pyro would be a honey badger (or wolverine) ... cause fireproof and stocky/potbellied. Sniper ... golden eagle? (dingo's the obvious one if you stick to mammals) Medic would be a german shepherd. (or European Red Fox if you exclude domestic breeds/species) Soldier ... wolf maybe? Hmm ... demoman ... for some reason I want to say crazy gray squirrel, it's weird but ... kind of fits aside from zootopia scales involved. (probably more likely something like striped hyena or african wilddog)
there are several animal cosmetic costumes for the various classes already

Ok, I'm really starting to like her. She has a kind of creepy attitude that just works so well for her. Like, you know that shes nice, despite the creepy statements she has. But she'll likely bite yer head off if you upset her.
Whats her name?
And will we be seeing a lot more of her?
Does her anatomy follow the same as actual hyenas?
Id also like to point out Judy's slightly unsettled face in the last panel after the yena's statement.

Huh, I thought it was rare to have more than 2 cubs period (stillborn or otherwise) with spotted hyenas, with 3 being exceptionally rare and poorly documented. In the case of 2, only one usually survives AFTER birth due to hyper-aggressive competition over limited resources (relatively limited milk production from the mother, really only suited to one cub, somewhat like humans -also limited to two teats, like humans and numerous other primates) with the dominant cub normally killing the weaker one early on, especially if its two females. (I think the males are submissive enough -and smaller at birth- to sometimes co-exist with a twin sister, but even that doesn't always work out)
That aside from the risky nature of hyena birth in general, especially for the first cub of a new mother. (cub potentially ending up suffocated and/or crushed in the clit before being pushed out -hyena cubs are also unusually large at birth for carnivores ... unlike some other pseudohermaphrodite species, especially the rather common fem-herm polar/grizzly bears which have little problem given how tiny infant bears are)
