Pluto is someone Caspian admires and aspires to be like with all his soul. The Pluto he's always seen he reassuring, positive, and warm, always looking to be his best to others. (The Pluto he doesn't see is clumsy and easily flustered-- but hey, we all have our weaknesses.) Caspian, in his aspirations, had let himself become naive and even a little gullible. He's doing his best, 100%.
Here I just wanted to depict a scene that sort of illustrates why Caspian would admire Pluto! I'm unsure how they would meet, but it was certainly before he lost his eye, and Pluto would be a steady friend to help him cope with the event that cause him to lose it.
