Today marks the 30th anniversary of the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (CNPP). Around 1:23 am local time on April 26, 1986 in the fourth power unit of the station, there were several explosions.

The accident happened in the beginning for the use of the kinetic energy of the rotor experimental turbine generator as a reserve source of energy for the needs of the station. For this power unit it has been reduced to a minimum, but then because of the technical features of the reactor began to increase sharply, which led to a series of explosions, resembling a "dirty bomb."
For three decades area overgrown with legends and myths, silent streets and abandoned homes have become a prototype for computer games and movies with the post-apocalyptic stories and ghost towns turned into an attractive weekend itinerary for tourists looking for exotic unsafe.
