The Leopard Tree

Humm, I have been drawing an awful lot of leopards of late, think I'm seeing spots.
A preliminary sketch for a painting I hope to start relatively soon. I always adored sunsets..and most especially African sunsets...something so clean and pure in that golden light. Hopefully the final painting will turn out at least somewhat close to the image I see in my head
The sketch itself is about 10 inches by 5 inches.
tools: mechanical pencil on vellum
A special thanks goes out to my dear friend Bagheera, without whom this sketch probably would not have come to fruition! Thank you for the inspiration :).

very very nice picture indeed :>
I know if I was al eopard I would so be lounging in that tree.
I like the languid curves in this one, as the leopard's body rests against the curves of the tree branch.
Its wonderful.
I look forward to seeing the finished painting =)
*daydreaming*
Soo very lovely...
That just blows my mind. Seriously.
Great detail of fur ~~

I love how the leopard conforms to the branch's shape in this and the peaceful expression. The texture of the fur is absolutely amazing too, makes me want to try and pet the screen ^^;
cant love this enough
