Photographed above Ellensburg, WA, on the Old Vantage Highway. This particular tower carries electricity from the Wild Horse wind farm, down to a distribution center in the valley. The day was foggy, and I couldn't resist pulling off to take a few shots. I love the silhouetting here.

Thanks, normally I don't do much in the line of man-made structures, as you can see from my submissions, but this one just made me stop and go "hmmm..." The way it was skylined just caught my attention. I don't think it would have been half as neat if there had been blue sky behind it.
That was taken with a Canon EOS-350D, using a Canon-made 75-300mm USM lens, at a midrange focal length. I would suspect that a good deal of the apparent solidity of the bank is due both to the filtering in the camera, and there being nothing behind the tower but a valley that runs perhaps two miles, to dead-end against a brush-covered hill. Fairly uniform, nondescript infrared source.
