Just imagine the scene, you're sitting there enjoying your copy of War and Peace then some great pillock comes wandering in with a suspiciously stained copy of Twilight and you just know they never look where they're about to sit.

I wish I had made it up.... first time I heard it was in the swimming pool and I laughed so hard I took on water.
Never heard of corn swallow, but git is a brilliant word, also wazzock (or wozzock), knobjockey and more local to me grockel and emmet... (there are more fun little phrases but I draw a blank...)

Holy crap O_O...I can't stop snickering....though what the hell does Emmet mean ? I might have got corn swallow from somewhere else. Oh don;t forget poppy cock...just a plain silly word. Do agree on the git bit, simple, short, and sweet. yea also what does grockel mean I mean seriously...sounds like a D&D monster then an insult.
emmet and grockel... They're not actually English terms, they're Cornish (if your not familiar with the UK its a county in the most south east part of the country which has its own language and smack me if I'm being patronising) but I highly suggest you wiki them for the full extent of the amusement. Also, twonk and twerp, I'd forgot about those too.
Poppy cock is still used in every day conversation.
