For what it's worth, Gnolls are actually hyena-men.

Yup-in my setting there are several types of gnoll. The savanna or 'grass gnoll' are your typical hyena men whilst desert gnoll are smaller and more like fennec foxes, forest gnoll are more like red foxes and mountain gnoll (the largest) are wolf people-some of whom are ALSO werewolves-and can thus turn into larger, stronger wolf men (but they don't have a human form-their base form is a wolf man and their werewolf form is...a bigger wolf man ;)). These guys are mountain gnoll whilst Yeshka is a savanna gnoll :)
