Joy is an ironic name. She is a bit of a grumpy chunky girl, and like her other Trauma teammates, she has a serious problem. She has Munchhausen's syndrome. Which means she will literally make herself sick in order to get attention from doctors. She's been pulled away from school, and she's quite angry about all that. It tends to make her a bit rude.

Yeah, it sounds like something in my family. My grandmother did it, but she was also a complete ass and ended up offing herself. I'm not saddened by her loss though.
And it was mainly attention, so if someone was loving her and often catering to her, she would be fine... until she wasnt' the center of attention.
