Another look into my process. I do pretty rough sketches of backgrounds, then give commissioners some different pose possibilities. Full sketch will be done once they pick one.

I do once in a while, I love YCH commissions, I'm just usually already busy and can't take on another.
But I do re-use poses that haven't been picked if they fit another commission, as often I'll get similar requests or character's with the same interests. Course the background wouldn't be the same, I just mean the pose.
But I also have A LOT of poses and wouldn't be able to sell them all haha. You can see in my gallery how may commissions I do, and all of them get 2-4, if not more, poses to pick from each time. Excluding icons and reference sheets, or commissions that need an exact pose.

When it comes to drawing the poses themselves, it doesn't take long. Few minutes, maybe 15 when it hits 4 or more? I haven't timed myself. But my poses also vary in detail, sometimes it's like stickman, so that's quicker, while other times I put a bit more detail into it. But it can take longer to actually finish them if I'm unsure what poses to do and have to do some research, or if I do some poses and none look right so I have to do some more.
For example, the bodes in this other one were more roughly sketched in then the one you're commenting on: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18689932/
So that would take less time.
The background isn't included in this time, I normally don't add them to gesture sketches but I had to sketch it out first because it's a heavy background with interaction, so I needed to know where things were to think of poses. The background took more time then the actual poses.
