She is indeed happy...for now. It's not easy to go back to something after so long, I'm sure there are going to be many challenges along the way, but like M. Footloose said, "You can't deny the Spirit of the Dance."
As for RL dance is cruel. Ballet especially. This scenario is actually very similar to what my sister went through, as well as my wife's best friend and several other girls I know. In some ways I get it, competition is fierce, the girl is often required to be lifted seamlessly, etc. etc. But in many ways it just makes me sick.
