Over the years, one thing I doodle every so often is a concept that I'd loosely describe as "hair-pervy." Imagine an all-girls school with a dress code so strict, they even dictate that you can't cut your hair. Even just a little trim could get you punished or even expelled.
In this particular drawing, I wondered what if the school also forbid any kind of updo so the girls could manage their hair better. Some perverted superintendent is probably peering through the blinds in his office, looking out at a campus full of girls dragging feet after feet of long, beautiful hair behind them going "Yes...it's just like I've always dreamed."
Meanwhile, these two girls are asking each other if it's too late to get a transfer to a school that makes sense.

Hmm...
In the most "Not-meaning-this-negatively" voice I can muster, have you ever drawn non-white hair at super length? I think something like tis to a super-long length would look pretty beautiful, like a willow tree or something: http://cf.ltkcdn.net/hair/images/st.....tural-hair.jpg

I see I can trust any school you open to have an immaculate dress code. Perhaps I should keep that in mind if I ever have daughters and need to consider their education. I trust these ladies are exposed to a robust and full-bodied curriculum?
I tend to appreciate volume more than absolute length myself, but I can very much get behind your more hairy exploits. People underestimate how big an impact it can have on overall presentation, probably not helped around places like these by how many anthropomorphic characters don't have additional head hair in the first place. One observation of mine that I'm particularly fond of thematically is how hair can be a very gendering element, both in terms of style and growth patterns. It makes hair very relevant to my interests of pushing people to extreme archetypes of gender.
You've probably been asked this a thousand times before, but have you put much thought into what you enjoy about hair and how it began?

I've thought a lot about it. As you say, hair is very gendered. It adds a feminine beauty to people of any gender. The major factors that attract me to hair are the grace with which it can move as the body moves, the amount of conscious effort long hair requires to grow and care for, and the many colors, textures and shapes it can have that "decorate" the body in a natural way.
It began when I was in my teens as a mere aesthetic fascination and it lead to me finding some galleries of long hair online. I found a story or two featuring long hair growth via magic, and things just grew from there. (Pun not intended.)
