And just in time for Shaymin week!
I'll probably consider changing the classification name to Rider Shaymin whenever I make more stuff in relation, but for now, I just like the ring of "Henshin Shaymin". Also, it rhymes, I think. And appropriately, I've listened to Kamen Rider songs for almost all the duration of making this (Though really, I'd rather pull up stuff other than Next Level and Innocent Trap, but I like the songs themselves and they came up, so...)
Wait, I'm losing the audience? Let's carry on then!
Land Forme:
My, he's a snappy dresser. I particularly like this. He looks neat, cool, classy, and has some sort of coat, which seems to be all the rage for the heisei riders at least. Though the reason I went with a suit was when I looked at a picture of Takeshi Hongo. Coolest look ever. Unfortunately, I have yet to see any Showa riders, so that's all I've learned on that...
Also, the belt isn't worn all the time. It's pulled out from nowhere, then put on for transformation poses. Or perhaps during the poses it just appears! But seriously, I mostly put it there to show how it is before transformation.
Also, he reminds me of Ibuki for some reason. Perhaps I should give him a trumpet gun? Nah.
Sky Forme:
Look between the two pictures and you'll notice differences between the hair.
That's because I am horribly inconsistent and didn't draw these two drawings on the same day. Perhaps I should stick to it, though. Makes him look more rugged while in sky forme.
As for the armor, I tried to go for a combination of showa and heisei armor styles. Showa style tends to look padded, while heisei seems to have an upper armor piece and (sometimes hilariously wobbly) shoulder pads. As you can see, there's a glacidea flower stored in the belt, which I mostly added there to make some sort of sense.
Also, shiny teeth grin! I was just being silly when I added that.
I quite enjoyed making this. Except for the sky forme ears. Those are evil to draw. I should also consider giving him a helmet in sky forme. Probably optional if so. Or when riding a motorbike. I've also noticed I seem to be drifting to a bigger-head style. I blame tablet drawing throwing me off.
...I wonder how many people would actually know what specific things I'm referencing here.

I forget if that's an unofficial or official term, but I know it's been used well enough. I'm only familiar with Kamen Rider myself. Having forgotten the first Power Rangers, and having not watched the Sentai shows, I'm unfamiliar with that. And I don't know of any others past those and the... metal heroes, they call them? And I know too little of those.
