They meet when Cab was cleaning his apartment and mistook him for a cockroach. He kept hitting the trooper with a broom (Cab's savage).
Now Echo follows Cab around (and bumps into a lot of things) the house and when he goes out Cab lets Echo hide in his hair XD

Imagine Echo curled up against Cab's stomach at night though >.<
