An Awesome AWS-8Q piloted by lieutenant Mack Cooper of the Gray Death Legion, the "Sweet Thang" has seen combat on many battlefields across the universe, including fighting against the Clan invasion of the Inner Sphere.

A customized variant of the AWS-8Q, the "Sweet Thang" is a heavy fire support platform. It gives up some of its armor to be able to mount 2 PPCs for long range fire support, and 3 large pulse lasers as a deterrent for any mech that seeks to close with it. It's double heat sinks allow it to fire is twin PPCs without fear of overheating, or to fire it's pulse lasers for long enough to destroy even an mighty Atlas or King Crab.

However, it is a slow beast, and its armor is barely sufficient for it to be in a brawl. It also overheats rapidly if all weapons are fired.
