This is the Russian (Soviet in it's time) T-34 Medium tank, it was used all throughout WW2 and played an important role in the Allied powers against Germany.

The T-34 went through many different changes, phases, and phanges, going from a 45mm (a.k.a a T-34/45) main gun to a 57mm (T-34/57) , to finally a 85mm (T-34/85). It's predecessor being the BT series, and soon upgraded to a T-44, then a T-54, and so on.

The T-34 was meant for a "Spray and pray" vehicle, achieve rather fast speeds at the time while maintaining decent armor and firepower altogether.

the main issues with the T-34 was it's low overall armor, however this is combatted as it is intensely sloped, and the gun it started with did not do well at all, thus upgrades were issued, and the T-34-85 became it's replacement.
