While on deep space patrol near the location of planet Brumus, the United Nations Cosmo Fleet - BBY-01 Yamato encounters another Dimensional anomaly similar to that encountered while en-route to Balun and Aquarius Gate. The anomaly was smaller than the one previously encountered but no less as powerful, resulting in the Yamato stalling before being able to completely exit the rift and slowly over many hours was dragged back into the void if it weren't for a strange unmarked blue vessel coming to their aide.

Resembling BBAndr-01 outwardly, the unmarked vessel quickly entered the rift of distorted space after the Yamato and quickly attached two 20cm thick Dyneema cables to her hull with electromagnetic anchors, and began hauling the stricken BB out into normal space before the rift closed on them.

The timing could not have been better! BB Yamato was barely on life support power when the blue ship arrived, and only just clearing the apparent horizon of the rift in tow, Chief Engineer Hikozaemon Tokugawa dumped the last remaining capacitor power into the Hadou enjin grid to revive the stalled Yamato before she gone completely cold, likely killing all on board. The Hail Mary effort payed off, as the Warp Core accepted the last scraps of energy and shot a meager, yet sufficient blast of Tachyons streaming into the turbine and restart the particle converter compressors once again as the blue ship detached her tethers and flew off into the darkness before Captain Susumu Kodai could open channels and thank them for the rescue.

However secretly, Sanada san had recorded the events on his phone, and later conferred with Kodai as how to best report the incident to EDF command. While the actions of the vessel were gallant and most honorable, the UNCF - EDF should be notified that a rogue Andromeda class vessel appears to be patrolling out near Brumus, and should be grounds for watching closely as intentions are far from clear with a single chance meeting no matter how friendly it may have been.

Both the BBY-01 and my La Blue Girl Andromeda clone are being worked on to simulate hull seams and details not normally needed with default sketchUp methods, making either ships hopefully compatible with other platforms and image rendering software. This then is my preliminary results, albeit dressed up with pretty spot lighting and deep shadows to simulate a dark starless void like that seen in 2199 "Graveyard of the universe"

The Yamato being a dark gray color admittedly swallowed up the vast majority of the photons cast at it, even with some very bright spot lights used, in contrast La Bue Girl being a rather bright blue color reflected a lot, so balancing the gamma of the rendered image was rather tricky, so in the end I may redo this image.

As well, I will present a sun lit rendering of both ships so every detail can be seen clearly.

Both ships in their updated forms will be available for downloading here on dA in a Zip folder, compatible for use in SketchUp2008 thru present, as well as Kerkythea rendering, and hopefully import friendly to Blender as well.
