This is my Mosin Nagant it is zeroed in at 300 meters and can shoot a round over 2,000 meters
it shoots a 7.62x54 when translated over to the amarican system its an over powered 308. the bullet its self minus the case is a 308 put into a 54 mm case.

I myself have one! They're not that spectacular, but they're proven and tough as nails. Having used a Yugo M48 before, I can't compare how smooth and easy that bolt is compared to the Mosin, which needs a little muscle to operate, nor does it throw the clip out when you slide the bolt forward after loading the rounds in. I don't know what they were thinking with the safety though.
Regardless. I'll still have some affection for the Mosin, for the simple fact it's affordable, simple, and just ever so darn fun to shoot. If I can zero it in, it'd probably be even more fun to shoot.
