Komainu is Japanese mythology creature, it's a guardian lion-dog at Shinto shrine, mostly seen as a stone statue at the shrine's front gate.
It’s really hard to find ref for fur and color pattern, all I can find is photos of their stone statue in front of the shrine lol.

I'm researching and actually that creature is called Shiisaa(シーサー), it's actually a Lion according to Japanese's Kanji but people from Okinawa calling it in local language as "Shiisaa" instead of "Shishi"
Komainu on the other hand, is more like lion-dog hybrid instead of pure lion breed.
