This track is meant to be listened to immediately after Darkened Soul.
This is the title track of Resurgence, and it is fairly lengthy at just over 6 minutes. This track is unusual in that it is one take, no edit. The piano just sounded so beautiful, I really felt this one deep within me by the end of it. *whinnies softly* This song exemplifies a return from the brink... a second wind, the will to carry on. Life is never so bad as we make it out to be, I think. I know where my wings come from, now. And while they won't always be showing... I know they are there, and I will draw my strength from them.
Please enjoy this track, and thank you for listening everyone. I do appreciate all of you sticking with me this long.
*whinnies and hugs for you all*

The music is an interesting balance between its own origionality and a trained ear's expectations.
To elaborate, I mean that I often felt I knew the shape the music was going to proceed in, but I never knew exactly what the melody would be, or the overall shape of the movements, and when it did depart from what I was expecting, it was never in an unpleasant manner.
As for the emotion, I felt the power of the titular resurgence growing from its slow, quiet intro to its determined, potent playoff midway through, and to its relaxation in the final movement.

Quite beautiful though it is extremely quiet in the beginning I had to lift my computer to my ear to hear it.
I can see a faded sepia reel playing of a long tree-lined path. Leaves are wafting down from the bows, slowly covering the ground below. A weary traveler wanders aimlessly through the wood until he falls upon the path...
Ok, I'm going to the next piece :)
