Somewhere In An Alternate Reality
An alternate reality where anthros are an actual thing, and Pan Am Railways bought Southern and Santa Fe's GP30's instead of Norfolk and Southern's GP40's
It's actually kinda fun to think about this one because it could have been a reality. Pan Am Railways (formerly known as Guilford Rail System) is known for running "whatever junk they can get their hands on" A while ago, when Norfolk Southern bought up a bunch of newer GE locomotives they sold off about half their GP40 fleet to various lower tier railroads. Pan Am Railways was one of these railroads who purchased some of them. (this is why you still see a few high hood GP40's peppered around the Pan Am fleet.)
This picture expertly drawn by my buddy
was done to reflect an alternate reality in which Pan Am bought GP30's from both Santa Fe and Southern. The high hood #42 unit behind the #35 being an ex Southern unit, and the #35 itself being an ex Santa Fe unit.
I want to thank
a million times over for taking this commission and being so unbelievably kind throughout the whole process. You are by far the most courteous and respectful artist I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. His prices are beyond fair, and should actually be more for the obvious time and effort he puts into each piece. He went out of his way to make this as personal as possible from the Kasey Kahne hauler and Subaru billboard, to a certain stowaway in the cab.
This is absolutely amazing in every way. Thanks bud!

I dont know much about the whole railroad thing. I just know a guy who worked for them and some of his stories of their crap. Plus only a handful of W&LEs trains even match. Most of them have a black and orange livery, theres some old yellow union and pacific units they've just slapped a new name right on, plus a handful of blue and green trains for some reason. Along with all their faded Rio Grande ones as well. Just a real hodge podge of whatever they can scrape together
sure sounds like a second tier railroad to me. Sometimes all they do is paint over the old markings and paint their own over top leaving the old owners colors and everything. It's pretty expensive to paint a locomotive. The paint alone is close to a hundred dollars a gallon. And that doesn't get you very far.
Yeah that's pretty much the case. Some of their old Union Pacific ones just have primer over the logos and have their own name in plain black lettering somewhere real small. But most of what rolls through here is just come and lumber anyway, nothing too high dollar comes their way
Well if the models can be extracted and imported into G mod then that's one way it can be done.
The alternative is to mod the game with the trains with a furry skin mod.
I've seen a Half Life 2 mod that replaces that great partner girl with Zero Suit Samus. The animation and voice with Samus's appearance looked pretty good on YouTube actually.

Hmm I think I may be misreading this, but are you wondering if this picture and the things in it was made from Gmod or some other program? If so that's not at all the case - the only program that was used was Autodesk Sketchbook pro, from line work to completion~
