Where do you get your textures?

Usually DA, I look for free textures for commercial use that don't require credit. The two I use most often are pretty old so I no longer have direct links to them, but it's basically a grungy grey texture and a noisy/grainy grey one. It's easy to find something similar as it's a quite common texture, and if it's coloured you can turn it grey yourself.

Thanks! I've been using the textures that Manga Studio 5 comes with, but the variety isn't as big as it should be.

You're reading way too much into a picture meant to be funny. Besides, there's nothing wrong with looking away for two seconds to check a text, it's not the same as not paying attention to your children. You're just sorta assuming the chatacter never pays attention to the kid and only looks at her phone.

You said you were bothered by the actions going on in this particular picture, not just actual parents, so it's implying that's what you think the chatacter is doing.

I'm not upset or anything, but I was disagreeing with your assumption.

So because its a sibling they get a pass but if it's a parent they don't? That's double standards right there. Just because you look at your phone doesn't mean you aren't hearing and seeing the world around you. I do surf when my kid plays but I put it down when he wants my full attention or to prevent him from doing somthing dumb. Its not that hard to multitask.

Saying youd put your technology away would include never watching tv or youd get distracted, driving, or heck doing dishes because as a parent or guardian you need to give your child 110% of your attention. (read that as sarcasm yes?)

Obviously some parents do ignore their kids to an extent but to blanket a snap judgement like that should be reconsidered next time especially when you yourself don't have a child of your own. Yes this is art and we don't have to take it as seriously as child abuse. Ok? Ok.
