But, didn't everyone already know she was trying to get pregnant? At the very least, she was talking to her brother about it. Her parents would probably be ecstatic, and considering Fru Fru was already showing at her wedding she would probably be understanding and supportive. Judy doesn't want them to get excited only for their to be a miscarriage? But even then, it seems a bit odd she would be so secretive considering all her friends already know and no one would probably be bothered by it.

Actually, shrews have a very short gestation period, so it makes sense that she was heavily pregnant a week or two after her wedding.

I mean, it's not like Judy should be ashamed of getting pregnant. Why wouldn't she tell Fru Fru? Why wouldn't she tell her parents, or at least the brother, who she talked to about getting pregnant to. Why would she bother keeping it a secret? The only thing I could figure is she doesn't want to get their hopes up, only for her to suffer a miscarriage or other complications, but cutting off your family seems needlessly heartless, especially since they seemed to have already known she was trying.

Well if i remember rifht tbe parents are exactly excited for Judy's choice in husband. Plus she probably doesnt want rhe commotion if a miscarrage does happen. Pluuuuuussss shes moody rigjt now

Like Judy said, she's not sure if the pregnancy will be successful. Judy is a very strong and independent person. The last thing she wants is everyone treating her like she's fragile and with pity should she miscarriage.

Generally, it's not a good idea to tell people you're pregnant the moment you find out, as there are many different complications that could happen in the first few weeks.

Considering the variances in dietary needs and tolerances across species it's possible drinks are served like in the Star Wars universe: i.e. they're either very diluted, sectioned by which creatures can or cannot drink them, or indeed they're made from something that won't cause health problems across the board.

Whichever, I'd say Judy's child is probably safe.

Now I wonder if Judy could give away the fact that she's ppregnant by ordering a "harmless" drink. What if there's that one beverage that mainly pregnant women order because it has no alcohol, but is highly nutritious? Like with an unwritten rule that links this drink to the consumer carrying a child. A "Hello, I'm obviously pregnant!" in liquid form!?
