Recorded at Whisky Dicks, this is a live cover version of Stevie Ray Vaughan's blues ballad "Life By The Drop". Might say I got a little bored with singing "The Sky Is Crying" for a while, so I went with a couple other Stevie Ray Vaughan classics. This one isn't really considered "classic material", but it's a powerful song nonetheless. I was amazed to be able to sing this one for the first time almost flawlessly. There is one, maybe two spots in the song where my voice wanted to strain a bit to hit those higher notes, but it's hardly noticeable to the untrained ear. This was indeed my very first time singing this song. The second time I sang it, I pulled it off note for note--just takes a little practice to hit it. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with me the second time I sang this song, otherwise I would have uploaded that one instead.
