Story:
Equinox once came across a young boy while wondering through a forest a long time ago. The boy was being chased by a beast. Taking pity on the boy she scared the other monster away and protected him. Being seen by a human is rare for a demon, the boy remembered her and she grew fond of him since that day and as time went on her fondness had turned into love. She spent many years watching over him from the shadows and guiding him from afar. The boy became a man and grew into an aspiring artist often drawing and sketching his so called 'guardian angel' Equinox. But humans do not live as long as demons. When the boy became old and grew weak from his age she came to him in the night, the old man simply smiled at the beast, the only one to have never been afraid of her and said his goodbye. In his last moments on earth Equinox took his heart, stealing it and ripped a new hole in her chest. Never having had a heart before she then placed his stolen heart in her chest. Filled with a strong love and desire to keep it safe forever and with the overwhelming sadness for her loss Equinox became a more bitter and darker demon. She often takes the heart from her chest to gaze upon it and cries.

Notes: I picture Nox as a very lonely soul. The typical 'lonely god' complex. She is a depressed and heart broken character, it's a time for her in which her story is already over so she spends most of her time in solitude thinking over her past. Her one clock eye is usually hidden by a black eye patch, she only takes it off rarely. It can be used to look into the past of herself or others when that one eye gazes into another's eyes or a reflection of her own.
