Endless Realms bestiary - Citrine Dragon
Corebook artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
Citrine - uplifting, positivity, immunity to negative energy
Differing from other dragon concepts in the game so far, this dragon isn't a demigod or avatar of a particular elemental or cosmic force. For the gemstone dragons, I was given almost entirely free reign, so I decided to take inspiration from historical and pagan lore.
Since I had to do over a dozen additional dragons, I tried to include at least a few different varieties - I wanted to do at least one "cuter" dragon, especially since the art director loves fairy dragons!

I could totally see an adventure path where the setting has been beset by whatever dragon would be associated with negative energy, and the adventure's goal would be for the party to journey and find a single Citrine Dragon of positivity that's rumored to be in existence to help topple it. Of course, it would culminate in an epic battle vs the NE dragon and its minions. =)
