My sister had a Basset hound years ago, but with looser neck skin and longer ears, and more brown area and no spots on his coat.
Also, he was not tame like Fred Basset. All his life he was very energetic, mischievous, poke-his-nose-into-everywhere dog. But if other dogs were around, he always pulled rank and insisted on being the lead dog.
